I think with Boxers you can either go with a serious sounding name or a goofy one and it will still fit. The proud way Boxers carry themselves lends them to the serious or dignified names, while their personalities lends them to the goofy ones.

I went with "Cosworth" after the company that builds racecar engines:

I think it has a dignified sound to it and Cosworth (the puppy) certainly reminds me of a 800 hp engine. :)

Definitely no to chopper - maybe Honda. :)

Actually, my next dog will be named either Falcor or Atreyu. I'm leaning towards Falcor - that way I could save Atreyu for a skinkid if i ever have one.

If you have not named your puppy yet, how about Louis as in Joe Louis. They go great together. Joe Louis was a heavyweight boxer who still holds the record for longest running championship in heavyweight division of 11 yrs, impressive. Another, though very common name, Rocky. I think its kind of cute.
