problems with fish oil

Did anyone encounter problems with giving fish oil?
snatch gets bad gas and diarrhea with it.

I wanted to do good by giving him supplements of fish oil :(

I've never used fish oil. We use flaxseed oil with no problems.

Just last night I ordered a bottle from TO. I usually give Grizzly salmon oil but I am running low and forgot to order it when I ordered dog food and I will be out by the next time I order food. I decided to go with TO because the shipping would be free. (I am cheap :rolleyes Plus it is from TO, so I have confidence that it will be good stuff.

Dakota loves it, when and if we give him dry food we put the salmon oil on it, and if it is plain dry DF, he looks @ us like where is the good stuff??

Leia loves it too! Luke sometimes is fussy with it. I just buy the fish oil capsules from the health food store and put the capsule right in their food (for Leia). For Luke I cut it open and squish it in and hide the capsule in the food. We've been using it for a long time now and don't have any problems with diaherra. As for the gas.....its pretty much the same as before....Boxer gas

I've been following this thread,and decided to try Waldo with a fish oil capsule on his kibble this morning,my reasoning being if it upset his stomach,we'd have the day to get over it rather than be up and down all night.He bit into it,and there was much lip licking enjoyment
Well he's tolerated it ok,but the gas is terrible,someone please tell me this will settle down to normal toxicity levels:eek:

How much flaxseed or fish oil should you give? Bailey only weighs about 39 lbs. Thanks.

I give about 1 tsp of flax oil in 1 meal. Or I give them 1 capsule of fish oil.
