Okay, here's a fun one.

Jackson, over the past few (3) weeks has decided whenever I'm on the phone (I work from home in the winter) that its fun to bark bring me all of his toys and bite at my feet, and then go in the other room and poop on the floor. At first I thought it was me, not letting him out enough. But he's done it three times in the last week and all of them were right after I let him out (I've been keeping track). Today my comforter corner was the target- I'm getting pretty frustrated, I've repeatedly let him know this is not okay. Is this an attention issue? Anyone have any advice?!

One thing with Madden is he barks while I'm on the phone too or doing something that will prevent me from giving him all my attention. I teach special education and I know that when a child or dog wants attention he will go to any means to get it: so telling him to stop doesn't help it just feeds the issues. (negative attention is still attention) So when Madden is obnoxious-I just simply ignore him and he will eventually stop, and in fact hardly ever does it now!
What about giving him a special bone or toy when you know you'll be on the phone for a while or confining him to the office with you with his toys so he can't leave the room to poop? Or a good long walk or play session before you startworking?

Good Luck!

Its not just me aparently he does it with everyone. DH was on the phone earlier and he barked and faught with his foot like crazy, we had friends over last night and one was on the phone Jackson sat and bounced and barked at him!!

I left him with DH yesterday and came home to find out he had peed on his bed in the livingroom. And now after coming in from outside (I SAW HIM GO)the DH and I started a game of pool and Jackson pooped on the floor next to us. I'm not sure if this is a normal stage here, but if we don't pay attention to him 24/7 he potties.

DH does not have the patience that I do as he has never had a puppy- anyone have a suggestion ? Is this just regression or is it an attention thing? He's walked, played with and spoiled I don't know what else to do!
