Hey all.. trying to decide which brand on this list to use.. using ProPlan but may switch eventually after the dog is a few months older... please rank the following so that I can see what the "critics" from BW think...

- Nutro - natural choice
- Wellness
- Solid Gold
- Natural Balance
- Canidae
- ProPlan
- Royal Can...
- Innova
Thanks for your help...! I just realized that you probably have not used ALL of these products.. if you could just give me your opinion of which is best on this list that would be great!

I have only used Canidae and Wellness. My pup liked the wellness alot better.

Canidae
Innova
Wellness
Chicken Soup
Nat. Bal.
Solid Gold

The rest I would not even consider.

Nutro - Natural Balance

Jag has been on Nutro since he was a tiny pup and is doing great. He loves it and is healthy. Haven't tried the rest, just know what works for us.

Otis has only had Chicken Soup and Canadae. But the #1 choice between those 2 at our home is definitely the Canadae (chosen by Otis).

Canidae

My boxer Brody is a food snob. I have tried almost every one of those dog foods (the county pet rescue got lots of free food). Canidae is the only one he will eat.

Of the ones I've used...

Wellness (expensive, but good variety, a great food)
Innova (expensive, lacks variety, but also a great food)
Chicken Soup (good price, lacks variety, but good food)

With that said, it is your dog who is eating the food, so he'll eventually tell you what works best for him... especially in fur texture, poop, and just general health...

I've always fed Ronin Wellness. It IS expensive (about $35 for a 40 lb bag) but he's always done so great on it that I've never switched. I've also heard great things about Chicken Soup and Canidae, so I don't think you could go wrong with those either! Good luck in choosing!

I've used Solid Gold and just switched to Innova.

I got great results with Solid Gold, and am getting great results with Innova.
