Nutro Natural Choice vs. Purina Dog Chow

does anyone feed their dogs Nutro Natural Choice? i was just out w/ my pup at petco and there was a lady there who i talked to about it.. it sounds like a good food to feed the dog.. i'm going to go compare their ingrediets to the food i feed my dog in a little bit.. i feed my dog Purina Dog Chow right now...

Do a search on premium dog foods. Look all over this board as well. There also is the WDJ (world dog journal i think), that lists the top ten foods. You will find that purina puppy chow is no were near on the list. I'm sure you can then find and decide on a good dog food to suit your puppy's needs. Some examples would be Natural Balance, Wellness or Canidae. Good luck.

Niether of those foods are any good. There is much better food out there, and it won't cost you much more (maybe $3 more per "big bag").

If you feel strongly about buying kibble at Petsmart, you might try Nutro Natural Ultra, Blue Buffalo or Royal Canin. I don't think Petsmart carries anything else of high quality.

Higher quality kibbles (read other posts to find some names) are frequently carried by independent pet stores/supply places.

well.. after looking at different foods i've decided i'm going to switch princess to Canidae instead of Nutro once the bag of Purina Dog Chow gets low and i will start mixing them together for her to get used to it.. i will have to order it online since i dont think any of the stores around here sell it.. but that doesnt really bother me.. i just want something better for my baby..

Check into some smaller pet supply store in your area, they are often the ones to carry higher quality kibbles.(you may be able to find Canidae near by) My dogs are eating Wellness and Chicken Soup. Those large pet supply retailers almost always carry lesser quality foods.

Canidae's a good choice!

I feed Tae Canidae and she loves it. She also loved Chicken Soup, but it made her gassy (out of both ends LOL).

Click on this link www.canidae.com and it has a store locater that you can use by area code or zip code. I found most of the places that carries Canidae in my area are groomers/boarders and smaller pet stores.Hope your pup likes it.

Just got through (with help of scrappers mom) a wicked all-pver hive breakout in Naomi!! Stay away from that crap!!

I don't think there is anything wrong with Nutro Natural Choice -- after we put Deuce on it, the condition of his coat improved dramatically (he's recovering from Demodex) and he had a lot more energy.
