Well, SCBR found a dog for me. Susie, a lovely 2 year old white boxer. She's a terrific dog and you can see her here:

I'm so thrilled and very anxious to get Susie home with me and Maggie.
Here's my problem. Susie is in Portland, Maine and I am in Brooklyn, New York. I need transport help!
SCBR is trying to arrange a CUR run part of the way, perhaps to Connecticut or Pennsylvania. If they can do that, I can then rent a car and drive from NY to either CT or PA and get Susie and bring her home.
But, if a CUR isn't available to bring her part way, then I am going to have to make arrangements to transport Susie from Maine to New York by myself. So, I wanted to alert our members and ask for your help.
If you are in an area between MAINE and NYC ("when you get caught between the moon and New York City..." - sorry my life is one big song cue) and you might be available to help transport Susie any part of the way, I would very much appreciate it if you could contact me.
I can be reached at d-batt@d-batt.com via email. Please write to me and let me know if you can be of any help with this transport and I will see if I can arrange a caravan or something. I really want this dog and I'm willing to do most anything to get her here.
I am also aware (and have bookmarked) the dog transport group of breeders which was mentioned on another thread, and if need be, I will arrange for them to transport the dog. The problem there is that it will cost me around $600 to $700 in addition to the SCBR fee of $200 for Susie. That's a lot of money. But, if that's all I can find, then that's what I'll have to do.
Anyway, any assistance or further information or links regarding this transport would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Thank you all so much in advance for your help and support.
