Hi. I am a native of Colorado (as is my dad.) I grew up in Colorado Springs, moved to Boulder for school and now live in Longmont. We love it here. Silverthorne is great. It is close to the beautiful mountains and close to Denver. Truthfully, all I know about Silverthorne is that they have a huge outlet mall. Why do you want to move here? Good Luck

I am looking at a job out there, managing a horse farm. I would love the job it sounds right up my alley, it is the move I am afraid of. I have no problem moving per say, it is how far it is from my family. They are all in Penn, New Jersey, Virginia, and other various New England states.
What is the ecomony (sp) like? does it cost an arm and a leg to live there?
How do your Boxers do in the weather. When I move I will be looking into rescueing when I get comforable.

Ona, what about Oregon??? I would love to have a boxer neighbor and the house right next door is for sell (see Im still trying to get rid of the grumpy old farts, that dont care for dogs) Anyway, its a loveley gated community on the Columbia River. Lots of beach space for future dogs to run on. Best of all you would have a built in boxer babysitter right next door!

I was a Colorado transplant. I lived in Northglenn, about 15 minutes north of Denver, for 10 years. I loved it and I didn't even ski! I have a feeling that the cost of living probably isn't much different than where you are now. The area you're going to will probably be more expensive than Denver, being a resort town and all. If you decide to do it, good luck and I hope you like it. You'll kind of be away from the hustle and bustle of big city life but that big city life is well within reach when you decide to get out live it up!

By the way, you'll need to be willing to give up all attachments to any other NFL football team. They make you sign a waiver when you move to Colorado vowing to support the Broncos while you reside in the state. They won't be held responsible for anything that happens to you and your family if you don't!
