Boxer Buddy
We brought Linus home in the spring and it hasn't really been cold enough for me to feel like a bath until recently. We've only used the soaker tub to clean Linus.
I started running a tub yesterday and Linus came to wait for his bath. The look on his face when MOMMY got in was priceless. He stood with his front legs up on the edge of the tub staring at me. The look on his face made me certain he was moments away from joining me. I had to put one hand on his chest to prevent a pounce. I started the jets and he jumped three feet into the air. When he realized I wasn't frightened he came back to sit and stare at me again.
Poked his nose in to inspect the bubbles... pulled back in horror.
Poked his nose in again... tried to eat bubbles.
Put my foot up to prevent further eating bubbles... licked foot enthusiastically.
Came up and sniffed my face... licked face.
Then he just sat and stared at me for the longest time.
Then he yawned. I recently read Calming Signals and thought this whole situation might be stressing him out so I yawned back.
He yawns again... I yawn again.
He yawns which turns into an extended yawn/whine.
He starts to bark/whine at me which sounded quite like he was insisting I get out of the tub immediately... DH comes to take him downstairs and leave mommy to enjoy some peace and quiet.
I couldn't stop giggling.
