OceanRein

Boxer Pal
Hi, I am Lennet and I live in Oklahoma. My children and I recently brought a Fawn Baby Boxer into our home. She is a doll. Her name is Ocean Rein and we have had her for 4.5 weeks. She has come a long way in her house training, but we are not even close to trained yet. I am crating her and she does not whine or whimper or bark... nothing. The problem with that is, when she needs to use the restroom - she does nothing to let us know. It does not bother her to use the restoom in her crate and then roll around in it. HELP!!!! I have NEVER had this problem before. I do not know what else to do. I must say the only time Ocean has this type of accident is in the early morning hours. She sleeps so sound at night and then when my daughter gets up early in the morning to let her out - she has already done her business and is back fast asleep..................Ocean is 15 weeks old.

hi I am new too

Welcome to Boxer world. This really is not going to appeal to you but you might have to get up during the night to take her out . Looks like your baby is to young to hold her water.I feel for you living in Canada and taking your dog in the middle of the night doesn't sound to great but it worked with my dog. Also her cage might be a bit to big giving her to much space just to roam around. Sure you will get lots of good advice on this sight though. We took courses in positive reinforcement they were great. good luck!

Thank You For Your Input. I Guess That Really Is The Only Suggestion (getting Up In The Middle Of The Night), Doesnt Sound Fun. We Have To Do What We Have To Do Though.

middle of the night

So here is the picture Its 3:00 am ,I am still in my pyjamas ,it is the middle of winter (freezing my touchie off trying to convince Zoe to pee as fast as possible. The trainer told us to say pi pi pi everytime she did her business so that later she would do it on command. It worked, but if my neighboors ever saw me they must of thought I was a mental patient.
