The only resolution I'm making this year is to pad my savings account. I'd like to have enough money to open a Roth IRA by the end of the year (need $2500). I'm relatively young still (25) and I've always been pretty good about sticking to a budget. Just now I have to incorporate more savings into that. I need to learn to pay myself FIRST!
You can sooooo do that! And it will pay off big time, so much sooner than you think. Really it's only $50. a week. Is there something that you splurge on every week that you can easily give up? Watch it mounting up in an account might make it easier for you. So many ways to do this, you can open an account and add to it weekly, monthly, at the end of the year open your ROTH. You can just keep the money jar on your dresser if you need a visual. Some people like to see actual greenbacks, others prefer earning the interest on their money (hmmmmm, guess which I would encourage).
Everything you invest now, compounds more and more every year. So proud of you! appicon
