Boxer Pal
HI! My name is Jen and I am new to the site. I just purchased my first dream dog. I little girl brindle named Izzy. I took her in for her vet visit and was told she had a murmur. She is just 10 weeks old. The vet wants me to take her to the cardiologist. After much reading on the internet I am wondering if I should give it more time? Have read on numerous sites that they can have a murmur for up to 16 weeks? She is acting very normal for a pup. Her paws and gums are nice and pink. I do have a health guarantee, but I fell very quickly in love and could never return her. I very much want to do what is right for her! Any advise?

Welcome to Boxer World from Kansas! That is a hard decision to make, whether to wait or to see the Cardiologist. I would call my vet and discuss it with him/her, and ask what they think about waiting until the pup is a bit older to see if the murmur gets better or goes away. I don't blame you for not wanting to return the pup. Could you call the breeder and ask if they would help out with the vet bills if the pup needs treated? Good luck on your decision! :)
