[Caney Creek]

I've got a few new pics to share of Creek and Caney, who just recently celebrated their 10th and 4th (respectively) birthdays at the end of March! PLUS I took some shots of a friend's new boxer puppy a few weeks ago D!) so I figured I'd share them all in the same post.


We'll go oldest to youngest


Creek is not quite as energetic as her "sister" Caney these days but she's still as spunky as ever! Here are a few pics of her doing her favorite thing, fighting with a log at my parent's house.

On to the baby. Since Creek is not so much into marathon running anymore I have been making it a point to take Caney out just me and her a couple of times a week. Here she is at one of our local parks after a run (still with plenty of energy to burn as you can see )

My mom hates this next shot She said "Ugh, look at those jowls! Gross!" But I think that's why I like it so much :D she looks so happy!

OK, and now on to the PUPPY!!! OMG, so CUTE! Her name is Ava, she belongs to a friend of ours, and she was 11 weeks old at the time these pictures were taken (about a week ago). I wanted to keep her!

Stunning pics! Caney is so muscular, she looks really beautiful in the pics as does Creek of course- I love her pretty grey face and the pup is sooo cute- her ears are so big and floppy!

My camera is a Canon 40D. It's several years old now (it came out in 2007) so no longer the "cutting edge" of technology but it still gets the job done. My lenses are the 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS (which took all the action shots you see of Caney in this post, and the two of Creek with log); the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS (which I hardly ever use =/ ); and the 50mm f/1.8, which was the cheapest, AND coincidentally it is by far my favorite (this lens was used for all of the puppy pics here, the shot of Creek sleeping, and the 3 pics of Caney in the backyard). The lens is what makes a WORLD of difference, not the camera like most people think!
