Hello everyone! My husband and I have a wonderful Boxer - he just turned 5 this month. He is just the best dog! Of course, he has had his moments! But he is the sweetest, most loving dog I've ever had. This is my first Boxer - my husband's family used to have them when he was young. JEB (that's our dog) is from Kentucky, where we used to live. He is more of the deer-colored fawn (rather than the red shade) with a black mask and very symmetrical white flash on his chest. He has 3 white toes on each foot (which makes it really hard to cut the black toenails!!). And he's a big boy - 85 pounds and not an ounce of fat on him! He is like a child to us. I'm so glad I found this site - I'm anxious to read everyone's stories and experiences and share some of my own!

I really don't think he looks all that big - like I said, he's not fat at all! He just has a lot of muscle and is very strong. I'm really enjoying reading over the various topics on the message board - it's so funny to see that everyone has a lot of the same problems and stories that we have dealt with over the past 5 years!

Have you actually got on the ground to play with Jeb? Boxers can relly bruise and they like to play rough. I have a 2 1/2 year old female and she only weighs 50 lbs but that is 50 lbs of muscle jumping on you!

I wrestle with him some, but mostly I leave that to my husband! They have such a great time with it - and JEB usually wins! And not without leaving my husband with a few bumps and bruises - nothing serious, though. I would think JEB was ferocious if he didn't wag his tail the whole time!
