My mom has a wire hair daschaund(sp?) and today the vet found a mass in his belly. He is only 2 and we love him soooo much. Tomorrow, we are supposed to find out if it is malignant or not. Please pray for my little Rocky weiner dog :(

Is he known to ingest things? The reason I ask is about 7 mos ago a friend of mine adopted a dachshund for his parents. He was "abandoned" at the vet's office b/c he, too, had a mass in his tummy and his owners did not want to pay for surgery. Well, it turned out he'd eaten a pair of panty hose. No joke! He actually passed the hose before surgery. He's very fortunate to have passed them!

Keep us posted on Rocky's situation.
