I took my boxer boy to puppy kindergarten. The trainer trains by leash. His trainer taught me to have him on a 6 foot leash at all times in the house until he has learned all of the rules. The correction for any unwanted behavior is a "popping" of the leash. I keep a choke collar on my Rocky, and this sudden but forceful pop will get your dogs attention, quickly. Use it as a correction, only. If you're walking, and they start pulling, pop the leash and give a command such as "no" or whatever works for you. The same goes for jumping on the couches, etc. Reward them for any good behavior with lots of praise and treats. My pup is 4 1/2 months, and it's frustrating at times, but the love he gives is not replaceable.
    Good Luck!
