These tips assume you are running XP/2000.
Clearing cookies and temporary internet files:
1. Goto Internet Options in Control Panel.
2. Click Delete Cookies and Delete Files (select Delete all offline content ). NOTE: Deleting cookies will clear "remember me" logins on websites, so you will need to log back into those.
3. If you have cable/dsl click on the Settings button and change the Amount of disk space to use to 5 mb.
Setting cookies to block most nuisance cookies and keep spyware to a minimum.
1. Goto Internet Options in Control Panel.
2. Click the Privacy tab and then click the Advanced button.
3. Select Override automatic cookie handling, select Accept under First-party Cookies and Block under Third-party cookies. Also select Always allow session cookies.
Click OK all the way out.
This works for me and I do it for all my customers.
