My Ailis, the sweetest dog that ever lived, would have been five years old tomorrow. I lost her to BCM right after she turned three and it broke my heart to see her go. Ai was one of those dogs that was meant to live to be old and grey. In her short life she amazed me every day. She was the most timid pup, tiny and skittish, but grew up to be brave and the perfect boxer size, lean with the most beautiful head. Ai's curiosity finally overtook her fear and in the last year of her life she blossomed. She flew around the agility trial, sat and stayed in the obedience ring, and stole the heart of everyone that met her. The day she got her CGC the judge said she was a "special" girl, and she truly was. Ai made friends with every dog she ever met. At the beach she found a soul mate in a gigantic pitbull and the owner of that pit cried because no one would come near her dog, but my Ai was all play bows and boxer wiggles and showed everyone on that beach just how great pitbulls are :) In Bar Harbor ME she was invited to sit at the bar and the bartender give her a bowl of water and a pretzel. She was the queen and she knew it.

How I miss you my girl! How I wish I could have seen that muzzle turn grey and watch you live your life out for years to come. Stay safe at the bridge until Mama comes to find you. If love and memories keep us alive you will never be gone as long I am here to think of you and smile at the gifts you gave me. God Bless Ailis Girl-there will never be another like you

We've all come to know your Ailis a little, and the love you have for her that will never leave your heart. I'm so sorry she couldn't stay with you longer. I'll light a candle in loving remembrance of her birthday. Hugs, and thanks for sharing your Beloved Girl with us.

That's soo sad.. our furbabies are all meant to turn gray and live out their full lives. But I also believe that animals are here to make a difference in the lives of their families. And no matter how short of a time they are here for us, each and everyone changes us for the better. Your sweet girl did what she came here to do: give you joy. And, as boxers do, she touched everyone she met, including the lady with the pit bull and the people who learned that pit bulls are wonderful too.

She did a good job, and now she's just waiting for you to meet her again.

Such loving words of rememberance for a sweet girl. I so hope that my girls met Ailis up there and that they got to play together.

Clearly Ali was much loved and treasured. I'm so sorry you didn't have the chance to know have her with you longer, I know it's heart breaking. Please be comforted by knowing how much she loved you and that she is certainly running, playing and waiting for you at the bridge.

Remember, if she knew she was the queen, it's because you made her feel that way!

Hugs
