Mika's been upset with me :(

I've had Mika for a little over two years now and for all that time, her crate has been in the middle of my family room.

A week ago, I decided I wanted my family room back, so I re-arranged my bedroom to accomodate not only Greta's crate, but Mika's huge one as well.

I figured it would be no big deal, as she sleeps with me in my bed and is totally familiar with my bedroom. Boy, was I wrong!! She has been refusing to go in her crate unless I give her *the stern tone of voice* and even then, she will initially turn and walk out of the room. This is quite unusual for her because she is always so obedient. She also totally destroyed the tray to her crate.....shredded it like it was paper! The most surprising thing is, once in her crate, she will refuse her *cookies*. I always pass out cookies before leaving for work and that little stinker will refuse, turn her head away and put her nose up in the air.

I never dreamed that the simple act of moving her crate would upset her so. BUT, I'm determined to win this one

Just wondering if she is just weird or has anyone else had this experience??

That's too cute...if there's one thing I've learned about my Boxer's, it's stubborn and hard headed!!!!!

I guess Mika doesn't adjust to change very well huh? I have faith in you....must look past those sad puppy eyes

Juke is the same we have just got ourself a new 3 peice settee with out the chair extension, he still thinks it they and climbs over us to get to the extension but its now they.

we did this last year.... in the winter, we changed Snatch's crate's place.. because it's cold by the window, we though he would be better away from it...

well... it took him about a week to get over the "big" change

he would sit where his crate used to be.... sigh..... wait till we look and then go lay down where his crate was, trying to roll his little body on the floor .... instead of just going his his super comfy crate...

update

Well, Mika must be over it -- YAY!!!

Last night, when I was getting ready to go to work, she walked right into her crate w/o any hesitation and gladly accepted her *cookies*

It took her nearly a week to accept the change.....good girl! Mika!! Things are now back to normal and Mika is once again a very happy baby LOL!!

Now, mom has to find a new tray for her crate.......
