Boozer had a swollen Lymph node in his throat. They did biopsy it and they said it was negative. A few weeks later two lymph nodes in his throat where swollen, and after I took him back and now the nodes are swollen back through to his hind legs. Without getting the results back my vet. was talking about Chemotherapy so I take that as a bad sign. Anything that anyone could tell about anything that deals with my situation I would appreciate. I will be checking my email often so be patient if you need more info.

Our dog has just finish chemo and is doing well. I noticed that before we got the diagnosis of cancer, prince was very tired all the time and couldn't finish a walk with us. He would also notice he would cough and gag a lot. If you are seeing any of these signs you will want to test further..

My childhood standard poodle was diagnosed with Lymphoma in December of 1993. A swollen lymphnode was found on her hind leg during grooming. She had no other symptoms at the time. My mom choose not to do Chemotherapy as we were told by the vet that at that time it was only estimated to prolong her life at the most for 1 to 2 years. He also noted that it might not be a "happy" life. She was treated with other medications (of which I can't remember what they were for) which did cause her to gain weight. She lived a full and happy life for approximately another six months. In fact, even the day before she died she competed in an obedience trial. All through her illness her lympnodes swelled with fluid. The vet "guessed" because she passed so quickly and had been feeling so well that one of her lymph nodes finally swelled to much and burst, poisoning her system.

I sure hope that Boozer doesn't have Cancer. My thoughts are with you. I am sure though with the advances in chemotherapy that the chances of success are greater today than they were 8 years ago. I am sure that no matter what Boozer's diagnosis is with the help of your heart, your vet, and this board you will be able to make the appropriate decision. Boxer kisses to you and Boozer.

Boozer MJ,
Hi, I am in the same place you are. My girl Cheyenne had a lump on her hind leg in July. They biopsed it twice, came back negitive. Then more nodes were popping, we went for an ultrasound, that suggested surgery. We removed 2 lumps sent them for biopsy. Came back as lymphoma. We are now is the process of receiving chemotherapy. She has not had any reactions to it , no weight loss. She did lose some of her fur, not all. She is holding her own and looks GREAT. She eats well and plays and loves us alot. I just could'nt let her go without giving her every chance, she is my love. I wish you good luck, and if there is any more info I could help you with, please contact me.

Sincerely
Joannie
