First off, I wasn't sure where this should go so...

Anyway, I managed to lose Rudy's tags sometime between Saturday and Wednesday. Rudy doesn't wear her collar around the house so it has to be outside. I combed the backyard pretty well and didn't find them there. My best guess is they came off on our walk Tuesday morning, naturally we walked for about an hour so I had a lot of ground to cover. We took that route today and I didn't find them. I was hoping someone would have picked them up and called by now but no luck.

Anyway, I called the vet today for copies of her rabies tag and microchip tag. I'm going to pick up another ID tag tomorrow and I'm due to re-register with the state soon anyway. I'm wondering about the AKC tag though. I dug up Rudy's paperwork from them and there isn't really anything there. I checked out the web site and that wasn't much help either. I sent an e-mail yesterday but haven't heard back. Has anyone had to replace the AKC tag? How did you actually get in contact with them about it? Do you have to pay for another one, did it take a long time?

In case anyone else needs to know about this, there is a web site for the companion animal recovery branch of the akc. I was able to order a new tag there and they cost from $6-10 depending on which tag you go with. Said 2 weeks for delivery but I got my original registration info faster then they said.

Glad you found the tags. (You are not far from me at all by the way!!) Have you ever been to the North Wales Bark Park?

Thanks, just have to do some running around today to pick them up.

I did go to check out the bark park but I haven't actually taken Rudy there. It's little bit of a ride (although much further for you), so we just go down to the baseball field at the elementary school.

That's cool. We used to go there all the time (before having a child) But it is a hike. But it's a good way to wear thier hineys out!
