Just got a foster dog two days ago. She has a injured leg and is in a cast. She has to be kenneled and exercise is significantly decreased. (the vet is hoping her leg will be able to heal this way and avoid a painful surgery) Anyway, she has a Kong and a new ham bone and I let her out and sit on the floor with her. Looking for ideas of toys or treats that will keep her entertained while her leg is healing. Any advice would be appreciated.

May be you could try some puzzle toys, like the buster cube or treat stik? They engage the mind without requiring a whole lot of moving around.

Stuff that kong with some plain yogurt and some smashed bananas, a few cookies and let her go!! It'll keep her busy for hours!!

The Kong is the best way to go, stuff it tight and freeze to keep her occupied longer. Maybe a hide a squirrel would get her mind engaged too. You could also play a modified game of hide and seek. Hide a toy under a bunched up blanket and help her find it by lifting up corners of it and such.

It is hard but if you can keep her calm, it will most likely pay off. Hopefully she doesn't have to have the surgery and be required to do more quiet time.

I agree with everyone who said the Kong. If necessary just stuff it more. I dont know about everyone elses boxers but mine cant do the buster cube inside. I dont see that as a "calm" activity. They got fed up with pushing it and jackhammer it into walls (they found the treats fall out that way too).....you could always try it and see, but mine wouldnt be able to do it. Puzzle toys are the way to go.
