leaving in car....

Just wondering, need advice from all you great boxer lovers. Lulu is now 4 1/2 months and I take her with me everywhere, finally got her somewhat used to the car restraint. I have never left her in the car alone and would never do so for any length of time or if it was the least bit warm outside. But do you guys leave your pups in the car alone for 5 minutes to run into bank ,etc..Also, when you first did so do they freak out..I don't want to crate her at home if I just have some quick errands to run, . I know this question sounds silly, just want to do everything right..Thanks

I leave my pups in the car while running errands. I am not gone for long periods of time and I usually leave the car running for them. I live in a rural area so I can do that but I realize not everyone can. They don't freak out at all, they just sit there and look around.

Blayne and Roscoe just hop in the front seat and sit there like humans watching everyone go by.

Punchie likes to hop into the driver's seat, as if she's going to drive us around the rest of the day

I take Molly to as many places as I can. I try to never leave for more than 15 minutes and I stay in our home town. She is always fine, but very glad to see me come back.

I would never leave my two left alone in the car....even if it was for 1 minute. Only b/c I am very paranoid that someone would try to take them. And I don't mean a nice person who may want them as a family pet.

I will leave them in a locked car for a quick errand. Fraze sits in the drivers seat and Nysa sits behind him Fraze does not mind but Ny does not like to be left alone though she is fine with him. She does not do anything "naughty" just stares out the window like the world is ending

I leave Rolen in the car alone for short periods of time while running errands. I always leave the car locked with the window cracked and he sits and watches everyone around him! I never leave him alone for more than 15 minutes.

If we take Waldo with us in the car,and the day is going to be on the hot side,one of us will stay in the car with the aircon running,while Dh or me gets the cappucinos or what else we need to do.
Otherwise over winter,he's safe to leave about 10 mins with the windows down a bit

Thanks for all the responses. I took Lulu with me today while doing errands. I was never gone more than 5 or 10 minutes and she just sat in her car harnass and seemed ok..I have been working from home lately so she is always with me..I know she will not be happy when I have to leave her crated now and then...
