Now there has been a thread on hardwood/laminate and boxers scratching, but what about the drool and slobber from them? We are considering laminate throughout with ceramic in kitchen but I'm concerned about their slobber sitting on the laminate and ruining it ~ should I be concerned?? or am I just worrying for nothing? My sister replaced all her laminate cause her XDH never remembered to take the dogs out during the day (?? HELLO) so they would leave puddles and ruined the floor. Now that he is gone :) no more messes and life is good.

Slobber doesn't do anything to our laminate wood floors. We hvae darker wood in the bedroom so it leaves little slobber spots, but that's it.

I will never go back to carpet again..ever!!!! You really don't know how dirty your carpet is until you have flooring. We had brand new berber carpet which I vaccumed once a week, now I swiffer 3 times a week. Should be more, but I'll settle for that.

Oh.... and our flooring stands up with 2 boxers running and playing all the time. It's been a little over a year and not one scratch or mark on it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you both!! I feel much better now, especially since we just bought all we needed for the house.
