kidney beans ????

Hello Boxer Lovers--

I love the sight, and I love boxers. I do have a question, and I hope that someone will reply and pull me out of the dark. I have noticed several people write that "kidney beans" are a common trait in boxers? What is a kidney bean? Does that refer to the splotches on the skin that can be seen under white fur? Or do you all mean that boxers like to eat kidney beans? Just wondering about the lingo?

Hi Jon. Does your Boxer Kidney Bean alot? Ruby almost knocks me over when she dances. Where in San Diego do you live? I am also in San Diego. :) Bad weather today though.

Thanks for the responses to my inquiry. I had no idea what a kidney bean was when applied to a boxer. Elsa, yes my boxer, Lily, does kidney bean alot. And yesssss she could knock me down doing it if I am not careful. To answer your question, I live in North Park close to St. Augustine Boys Academy if you know where that is. Lily and I and her other daddy, Ken, go to the dog parks at Grape St. and Balboa park a lot. Email me if you would like to meet at the park sometime and let the dogs play. It is so much more fun to see boxers play together. What a riot they are!

Ruby and I know Balboa Park dog park well, that would be great! We also walk around the park and hike up the canyons after she plays for a while. Looking forward to it.
