Happy Holidays Everyone!
Our names are Celeste and Lee. We live in Philadelphia and are the proud parents of Brick Roehousen. Brick is fawn, black mask, natural ears. He was born in North Carolina on 9/11/04. Our home was filled with love when we recieved our new baby. We recieved him early November. He was approx 8 weeks old at the time. Brick is loving and playful and always chewing on everything he can get his teeth into. We can't help but spoil our baby. Besides all the chew toys and treats we can spoil Brick with, we would like for him to have playmates. We give him all the love in the world but we think it would be special if Brick can have his own buddies. We are looking forward to making new friends. Looking forward to the Boxer Bash in January in the Philadelphia area. We'll keep checking back for more information.

Thanks for the warm welcome

Your babies are so cute. We are trying to decide if we are going to do Brick's ears or leave them natural. Lee wants them cropped and I just worry that the procedure will hurt Brick. Some people tell me that the floppy ears are not attractive for the breed. I think it's a matter of opinion. Well I see one of your babies have the ears cropped. What made you decide to crop the ears. Just wanted a little insight. Lee wants to schedule to have Brick's ears done 2nd week of January. Well chat later .

Thinking about getting another puppy

I see many people own 2 boxers. I guess it's like children. having only 1 child can be quite lonely. I would love to get Brick a playmate even if it means having to get a second puppy. Some have told me that Brick will not get along with another dog at this time because he will feel jealous. Some have also told me that I should have brought both puppy at the same time...Is it too late for me to get another puppy? Brick is 12 weeks old now.

I think it may be too late to do his ears at twelve weeks. I know the longer you wait the longer it takes with taping etc to get them to stand properly. I think they are beautiful either way. Mine now has natural ears but I have had one who's ears we had done. I think it's a personal preference. I would say the same about getting a second dog. I would reccomend going to a boxer rescue and giving that a go. There are so many sweet boxer babies who need good homes! Good luck and welcome to Boxerworld!

Welcome to BW !! Love the name Brick All 4 of ours are natural ears( I don't have pics posted yet but will over the holidays) I wanted to have Dozer's ears cropped but changed my mind,didn't want to put him through it and now I think he looks better with the natural look. Search the forums-lots of great info.

Well I Guess You Must Be The Perfect Person To Ask When It Comes To The Breed.... You Must Be The Boxer Scholar....smile. I'm Seriously Considering Getting One More For Brick's Companionship, Although We Pamper Him All The Time. We Need To Decide Sex/age And If It Better To Buy Or Adopt. Thanks For Getting Back To Me
