No idea. LOL - the answer depends completely on the age of your dog and what it is you're feeding.

Most pups over about 5-6 months of age are fine with twice a day feeding - so unless we're talking about a baby puppy, that part sounds just fine. Nobody can help at all on the amount though - not without knowing the age/size of your dog, and what food it is you're feeding. Dogs foods vary by an enormous margin on things like amount of protein and fat, digestibility of ingredients, and overall calories. You'd naturally expect, for example, to feed twice as much of a low grade food with only 300 calories or so per cup compared to a high grade one with 500+ calories per cup and more digestible ingredients...

Anyway, 3 cups daily sounds reasonable for an average-grade food and a mid-sized and moderately active boxer. It would seem a bit light for a low grade food like Eukanuba though, and a bit to much if you were feeding a high grade one like Canidae. That's a broad generalisation though - it still depends on the age, size and activity level of your dog.
