My baby came into heat 17 days ago. Her bleeding has begun to stop - or slow down - today. She has been under lock and key, and will stay that way.. just curious how long the estrus stage should last? I am also in the process of finding a vet in my new town to make an appointment to get her spayed. I am not sure how much time to allow, and have not found a vet just yet. How much time should I allow before spaying?
I am feeling very guilty over the situation, granted that Addie will be 11 months tom., but so much drama has developed in the past 5 months (almost having to give her up, finding a new apt., leaving her with a family member in another city for months, moving her here and now finding a vet here). I have been reading like crazy on the board for the past two weeks and have found the answers to most of my questions. I'm looking forward to hearing back about this one!
