How do I reduce my photo for my avatar?

I cannot figure out how to reduce the size of my photo for my avatar to 64x64. Can someone give me a tip? Thanks!

Do you have Photoshop Elements? You need a photo-editing program that will allow you to re-size the picture to avatar size. I understand there is a free download available that can also do this but don't have the specifics for it.

Check out www.irfanview.com
This is a free program that allows you to resize your pics (you have to download it). It's an excellent program that I use for pics and avatars. Remember to save your pic in .jpeg format.

I went to www.easythumbnails.com and downloaded that....I checked out the other one, but to me, this one seemed a little more user friendly...meaning I don't know what I'm doing...and I figured this one out rather quickly!

I just clicked the www.thumbnails.com link provided and it took me to something about finger nails and toe nails instead of pics.....I have photo suite but i know kothing about it so i can't figure out how to reduce the size of the pic......

Crystal, the link provided was easythumbnails.com, not thumbnails.com. By the way, even the link you posted (thumbnails.com) goes to an excellent photo software called ThumbsPlus. Not sure how you got "something about finger nails and toe nails instead of pics"...

this is so funny....But not really because so many of us are having trouble getting our pics to the right size.......I got fingernails and toe nails too....

Get REALLY frustrated!!!!!

We downloaded irfanview, I also have photoshop 7.0 all pics are in JPEG format. I can resize them down to 64x64 but it is still not small enough, for the avatar it's suppose to be under 8.8K however after continueing to pull my hair out it still will not go under 8.8K!!! Currently it is on 60x45 and won't work! Please help!!!!
