hives and thyroid problems

has anyone had symptoms of hives related to thyroid problems. i am getting my 3 1/2 year old boxers blood work done today due to hives. someone had told me that their boxer would always get hives and as a result found out that she needed to be on thyroid medication. i always thought it was just seasonal allergies. has anyone had this same problem?

Dull coat is associated with hypothyroidism. My boy is hypothyriod and has had hives but I never was told they were related... He has been on meds for two years now but still gets the hives seasonally. I would be interested to hear if there is a connection. At any rate best of luck with pup
