Brodie our male pup has had issues for the past five or six months, considering his is about to turn eight months old it has been a challenge. My fiancee and I have taken Brodie to the vet countless times and through each treatment no results have been seen. A couple days ago we made another trip back to the vet to further discuss a referral to a GI specialist and while thumbing through the pages of a medical book our vet stumbled upon HUC. We are all postive that this is the monster we have been fighting for all these months. As always there is good and bad news. The bad news is HUC can be fatal. The good news Brodie is going to make. We have done everything right up to this point and our little guy is tough. I am positve that we are going to make it through this. I would highly recomend typing in Histiosytic Ulcerative Colitis into your favorite search engine if your dog has had unresovable bowel issues.
