Hey Y'all - from South Carolina

Hello from SC! This is my first post here.

I have a flashy fawn intact male named Chance. He will be two years-old July 21st. He is our second Boxer. We do plan to neuter, but have had one bad experience in the attempt & have not built up the courage to schedule another appointment.

Our first Boxer, Marty passed away from Leukemia the day after his second birthday.

What kind of bad experience did you have the first time around with neutering?

Well - I am on the board of our local Humane Society & we have a Spay/Neuter Clinic. We have a wonderful vet & I know that I can trust her with any of my animals. The day that I took Chance in, there was a delay in surgeries. I took him at 8:15am & surgeries did not start until around 1:00pm. He was not a happy camper & would not let anyone get near him. He has never shown aggression until then. He went to training classes with the HS trainer & she couldn't believe that my sweet baby was bad either. Of course, I franticly called my husband who went to pick Chance up & he was fine once he saw him. The only thing anyone can figure is that there were other intact males there & females who were in season. Poor baby, he was exposed to too much all at once. I will now schedule with the vet so that they can get him as soon as he arrives.

where in SC are you located?

Welcome! I am sort of nearby, but my family is from Greenville. We are at odds on one thing though...I'm a UGA girl! I'll try to get past your allegiance to Clemson. I will say that when we went up there last year, we met nothing but super nice folks. Everyone was so hospitable, which is a big deal after you meet people from places like UT and UF who are really mean. No offense to any of those fans, but overall experiences there have not been pleasant!

Anyway, I'm rambling. Glad to have you here!
