Monty's Mum

Boxer Pal
Hello. I have a 14 month old male boxer (Monty) who just won't stop urinating in his crate. Both my husband and I work all day and I have to leave Monty in his crate all day. Every day when I get home he has had to go!! What can I do. I have blocked off half of the crate in the hope that he wouldn't pee where he would be sit/lying down - but he still goes. I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any tips for me. (BTW - I'm a new Boxer mum) Thank you

I would suspect that he is being left too long in his crate. Crates are great, but anything longer than 6 hours is a bit long. Is it possible for someone to come and let him out? Alternatively could you shut him in the kitchen and leave some papers down for him. He would probably be much more comfortable. Another alternative would be to put him in an exercise pen.

I hope you find a solution to the problem.
