Help! Layla's in heat!

Layla has been in heat for about 2 weeks now. The bleeding has subsided and her vagina was beginning to go back down to normal size. I've noticed she has been licking her vaginal area more which I assumed would be normal behavior while she is in heat. But this morning I noticed that her vagina and nipples appear to be very red, irritated, and swollen in SOME places. It doesn't seem to bother her much but am curious if this is something I should be worried about?

I don't know anything about that topic but I just hope everything goes well for Layla. I'm sure there are lots of people on this board who can help you with your questions. Are you breeding her? Just wondering.

If you no little to nothing about a bitch in heat I seriosky think you should not breed. It is more expensive than people think and can be quite dangerous to an unproven bitch.

Please leave the breeding to the experts (those who show & breed for health & temperament). I work with a boxer rescue and I can tell you first hand that there are already too many unwanted boxers who were bred on a whim. Please spay Layla as soon as possible and give her a good long life without the complications of breeding.
