HELP, I'M COMPUTER ILLITERATE BUT WANT TO SEND PHOTOS!!

I really don't want to come off as sounding stupid, but I am SO computer illiterate that it's not funny! I have a photo of Boomer and my son Cameron that a friend scanned for me. I somehow managed (must have been a fluke)to make the photo my wallpaper, and to also send an e-mail to my friends and family with the picture. I think it's saved as a BMP...how do I post it here for ya'll to see?

Julie,
Don't feel bad, I was the same way when we were getting ready to show pictures of Casper. My brother was supposed to come over and help me but I wound up being too impatient to wait for him and I actually figured it out . I made our page on yahoo's free webspace you can find it at - http://www.geocities.com

They have a home builder or page builder or something like that if you want to have lots of pictures but if you just want up to 4 pictures there is a "Photo Page Wizard" it's pretty simple to use - once you get there just upload the picture from your computer.

Thank you for the good advice, Lisa. I'll get my friend to scan some more pics, and make a web page for Boomer. My friend e-mailed me the image of Boomer that I use as my wallpaper, but when I tried to use it on the Purina Dog Chow "Make your own web page", it wouldn't let me...said it took too long to download or something. Tell me this...when my friend e-mails me the image,what do I save it to or save it as? I think that's where I'm making my first mistake.
