I just came to sit and hold your hand (as a fellow computer idiot) until you get an answer. But you are *way* more advanced than me - I always tell people to consider that they're dealing with a "pre-schooler," when helping me.......computer-wise, that is! LOL!

No idea

We sometimes borrow a digital camera and I take the pics, hand the camera to my husband, and then after a while he shows me the photo's on the computer :LOL:

I'll just hold your hand too until help comes along. If enough of us sit here someone is bound to take pity and let us know the answer.

Install then open the photo program that came with the camera and crop the picture so that the extra things won't be there, then re-size the photo diagonally so you don't distort the photo. Hope I helped!

Ok, Lesson 1

First thing to do is READ THE HELP FILE you installed with your photo software :D If for some reason you do not have any photo software, consider purchasing the ADOBE Photo Deluxe, it is what I use and I have found it quite easy ;)

After you have done this, then "edit" your pic by cropping (cutting away excess), you may then change the FORMAT to JPG which is much more web friendly :)

I hope you all have fun with your camera's (I just got 1 too!) and I want to see pics ASAP!

Also, before you save in .jpg format, set the DPI for 72. 72 dpi is all computer monitors can show and there is no need for more dpi than 72 for posting pics on the internet.

dpi = dots per inch

The HELP file will explain to you how to do this.
