I am about 2 1/2 hours from Alexandria and about 5 from Monroe. Denham Springs is southeast from both of them (Monroe & Alexandira I mean) and is about 5 minutes outside of Baton Rouge. I am about an hour from New Orleans.
I am originally from a small town about 45 minutes northwest of Baton Rouge called Morganza, but my husband and I live in DS now.

Do you know Jena? It's a very small town. I met some boxer people there while I was visiting the US. We went to New Orleans, great city ! Lost some money on the river boat though (same when we went to Natchez...).

Yes, I have passed thru Jena before. It is kind of inbetween Monroe and Alexandira. One of my college roommates was from a town close to Alexandria called Marksville. There is a huge casino there that is very nice. My parents go there and to Natchez all the time to gamble. They are in Biloxi, Missippippi right now at one of the casinos there. They love it!
Were you on some sort of tour of the south? I see that you are from France. We have alot of visitors from France, being that most people in Louisiana are of French descent.

The first time (1997) I went there to meet in person Darlene Vickers who co-owned Boxerworld.com with me (she now owns Boxergallery.com). From Miami I drove to Jena, Louisiana (also visited quickly Dallas and Longview) and then to Missouri before going back to Miami where I had to take the flight to Argentina (my parents lived there at that time). Since then I think I went to Louisiana three times. Louisiana is my favorite place in the US with Tennessee, Miami and Los Angeles
I hoped to see many Frenchspeaking people in New Orleans but I only found one Frenchspeaking guy and he was a tourist from Quebec The food was great in Lousiana! I miss it!
