HeartGuard/Advantage making boxer sick?

Has anyone had any problems giving HeartGuard or Advantage to their boxers? We have a 9 month old and he has been on HeartGuard since he was about 3 months old. We recently added Advantage and didn't notice any problems, but this last time we gave him both HeartGuard and Advantage at the same time and he seems to be throwing up occasionally, usually at night. He doesn't throw up every day but it has been two or three times per week since we gave it to him. Any advice you have would be great.
BTW, the vet says to let him know if it gets to be consistent and not to worry at this point.

Since your pup is usually throwing up at night....and Boxers have sensitive tummys....could it be from hunger?How long does he eat before he throws up?You may want to try to give him a treat at nightime to see if this possibly curbs it.As far as the Heartgard/Advantage....I have no clue....I do Heartgard/Frontline...and do it a few days apart....I have never liked tp give him too many medications at once...unless directed to do so by his vet.I like to allow his body a couple of days to adjust....but this is just what works for me.Hope your pup feels better soon.Good Luck!

My Sammy has had some problems with Heartgard in the past, with fevers and the like... I switched him to Interceptor instead, and as far as flea control goes, it's all natural, no chemicals here. Good luck , hope you can figure out what the problem is.

We will try giving him a treat at night. He seems to throw up mainly the yellow bile so it could very be that he is hungry. Thank you for the comments, we will reply shortly if this works.
