Heart Worm Questions????

As some of you probably remember my Milo has heart worms. We are waiting to start the rest of his treatment until his system is back to normal (severe allergies!!!) Anyways, he started throwing up today and it has long pieces that look like long pieces of ham. However, I know he has not had any people food. My question is: Can the heart worms break off and go into his stomach? Does this sound like I should be worried? I called the vet but the one on call I dont like and refused to talk too!!! I have to wait till Monday to talk with my vet but I am very worried he has never thrown up for me.

Milo hasnt thrown up anymore. He is eating ok and drinking so the vet said just to keep an eye on him. We did have to put him back on allergy meds because he got bad again. Its frustrating because it keeps delaying his heartworm treatments which makes me worry. I just dont want the heart worms to get so bad we cant treat them. We are still giving him the heartguard which the vet says will keep the adults from getting bigger. Thanks for thinking of my baby:)
