He can weave!

OK, maybe this isn't a big deal for those of you whose dogs have their MACH titles. Oscar and I have been taking agility classes for a year and he could do all the obstaceles fairly well (especially the teeter, his favorite) except weave poles. Well, today in class he correctly maneuvered through 12 poles in a straight line many times. I am so proud of my boy!

Congratulations! I remember when J.C. first started doing agility, it took him a long time to figure out the weave poles. He kept looking at me like "how come I can't just walk alongside them like you do?" He is very consistent on them now and is finally starting to get fast through them. Boy, now that I think about it, we haven't done any agility work for a long time. We might just have to do something about that.......:D

So you will not be running in the TCOTC trial next week? I will be working it all three days, but did not enter because I felt Oscar was not ready. I have not been working him on full height jumps yet, and also want to get better moving as a team.

No, we won't be there. J.C. hasn't been in an agility class since late Spring/early Summer. There's no way we would be ready for a trial. I had hoped to have him in the obedience trial there last month but the fun match we were in a few days before the entries closed proved to me that he wasn't reliable enough to enter him yet.
