for about 2 weeks now harley has been waking us up around 2:30 am to go outside. he goes out...does his business and drinks and drinks water.some nights he may even want out again around 4.
sometimes he doesn't get his play time at night till around 9pm and he drinks alot then and may even eat after. i also have been giving him his apple snack after this play time. we don't crate him for the night until 10 or 11 and we always put him outside first.
harley has been sleeping thru the night since before he was 5 months old so this isn't the norm. he will be 7 months old friday so i know he can make it thru the night.
any advice would be greatly appreciated! i am sooooo sleepy! LOL LOL course harley is sleeping as i type.

I would try taking up Harley's water after dinner time to see if that helps. Also, there is no reason he can't do without the midnight drink as well. Water in, water out!! I do this with my two babies (ages 7 months and 9 weeks) and they both make it through the night with no whining and no accidents in the crate. Best of luck to you....I know how you feel!

Is he drinking and or peeing excessively?? I'm not sure from your post. If so please get him to the vet asap to have him checked out it could be anything from an urinary tract infection to kidney problems. Good Luck and keep us posted!

I agree with Chris. NO water before bed and no water during the night.

I don't even let my youngest daughter drink anything between dinner and bedtime!

i believe he just got into a pattern. i started dumping water bowl outside around 10 pm and he has been sleeping much better.
my husband jb has been away alot the last few weeks and i think that has been a big problem also. harley is pitiful .... walking the floor looking for jb and watching the road at night.
