Indy eats Canidae. Never a problem. Recently started a new bag of lamb and rice formula, and this boy is seriously gassy. I mean, holy cow! Clear a room gassy. Now I know that boxers are known for their amazing talent to give off noxious fumes, but we've actually commented on how little gas he has had since being on this food. A fluke?

In no other way does he appear to be suffering any type of distress, I don't think he's feeling uncomfortable at all. Just stinks to high heaven. Has even done the famous bit of getting up, giving me the 'look' and walking away for a few minutes to let the air clear.

He's been on this food for quite a while, we change between the formulas within Canidae but do stay with this brand. Would welcome any advice or suggestions. It's too cold here to open the windows!

I wish I could offer a suggestion, but I'm in the same boat you are. My dogs are on Canidae and they're both incredibly gassy.

It's just really odd, it's never made him gassy before. In fact, like I said, we had actually commented on how much LESS gas he had with this food. We were really happy campers.

I guess I'll give it a few days, maybe he has a tummy bug of some sorts. Of course I could add a bit of yogurt and see if that helps too. If there is a tummy problem that might help to settle things down.

Ok, with three of us saying it, it must be the food! Beau has always been gassy but the odor has never compared to what comes out of his rear now that he is on Canidae. This is his first and last bag of Canidae! I don't know how much longer I can hold my breath...

I don't know if this helps or not,but in the past when Waldo has had fresh raw lamb, the gas has been TOXIC,so I now avoid lamb like the plague.
He does better on beef + chicken.

Molly also is just finishing a bag of Canidae lamb and rice and she was a stinky, stinky girl for the first week or two. It has since subsided. Now she is trying a small bag of EVO (first time) I hope that goes good-with the poo's and gas!

My boys are on Nutro and we alternate what flavor of wet food they eat everyday for a little variety. We noticed that the lamb and rice formula caused clear the room oh my gosh did something die in here gas. We did a few things, one being we opened the window. Two, we don't give them the lamb and rice formula anymore. And three, I give them a scoop of yogurt in the morning to help control the fumes, it works really well. Good luck, I think Wal-Mart sells gas masks now! ;)
