We got Tyson a 1 year old male from the SPCA this past July. We were looking for a companion type dog NOT a guard dog and were not terribly dissapointed that he did not bark when people came close to the house that he did not know! Recently he has started barking and to my surprise I feel proud! 
it is almost like he now knows this is his home and he intends to protect it! Not to mention Ali has started barking as well! The two would scare me away if I didn't know them better! appicon

...is a totally different story! Sirus certainly isn't timid, but I don't think of him as intimidating...I guess if ya didn't know how mushy and lovey his is...you might see him as intimidating.
