From one weather extreme to another!

Last week we had bitter cold with wind chills below 0. Today we are supposed to hit a record high of 67!

We are grilling out tonight! We even have windows open. Bayleigh is loving the warm weather...unfortunately, it is also extremely muddy! We have been taking lots of walks!

I have to say that I hate the weather swings... If it's winter then it should act accordingly. If it's spring, then it should act so.. I really hate when it does this for 1 main reason, it screws the hibernation patterns up.. You'll see skunks out and dead on the road to boot. I hate the smell, but it is alarming to the global warming conditions that we are going through. I have to say that the world isn't perfect, but dammit, it should at least try to be be appropriate at appropriate times. Ok, I got that out of my system, the weather is gorgeous today, all of the golfers are on the course by my house, the dogs are frolicking, I am soaking up the sun and I am happier when it's sunny. So why all of the grumbling above you ask, because I can I suppose

We are having the same strange weather here. Last week it snowed and was bone shivering cold and today it's 73 out and sunny. It's nice but weather changes always make me think we are going to have a extra long winter or a horribly rough spring and let me tell you, I would much rather deal with the snow than be freaking out about tornados.

Here as well! I'm loving it! :D Getting Spring Fever already! And we grilled outside and took the boys for a nice long walk down the road to toss the ball around! They got quite muddy! :eek: But... it was a nice day for a bath too!

It was 70 here in middle TN yesterday. It felt like that when I took Coop out this morning too, although I think it may rain. I really have been wishing for some snow.... Doesn't look like that is going to happen.

We had heavy rains overnight and lots of flooding. A lot of schools are closed today and a lot of small towns have evacuated. One of the rivers has 2 dams and now there is talk of one of the dams possibly failing. My in laws live downstream from the dams and are being asked to voluntarily evacuate. My BIL also lives 2 houses down from my in laws. Pray that the dams hold!

On a side note, I think your rain is headed for my house. It was absolutely beautiful earlier, but now it is crappy looking like the rain is going to pour down. I am so sick of mud...

Crazy weather! 3 weeks ago it was 85 here. Just last week we had record lows at 16 degrees w/ a wind chill of 9! Today it's nice and 75. By Sunday the high will only be 45! Went last week when it was cold to buy the kids all new hats and mittens. They wore them for 2 days, and today wore shorts and tees to school. I guess they'll need the winter gear again this weekend! Sheesh! Poor Mackensie's fur doesn't know whether to shed or grow thicker!
