Frequent hiccuping

Does anyone else have a boxer that hiccups a lot. Maggie seems to get them several times a day. Usually doesn't last long, but I never seen a dog get them so much. Should I be concerned?

How old is Maggie? When Rocky was a pup he had hiccups all the time. I was concerned also,I asked the breeder and the vet, but it's a puppy thing, she'll outgrow it.

Bailey did hiccup a lot as a younger puppy. She doesn't now.

Indy had the hiccups all the time when he was a puppy. I also asked the vet and he said it was a puppy thing. He will be 2 in October and only occasionally does he get them now. Usually when something startles him or he eats too fast (which is rare).

Montgomery is 13 weeks old and he gets the hiccups all the time...especially when he SCARFES his food. I'm glad to know this should go away.

Great Question! I also wondered about dogs with hiccups. Lennox has had hiccups since the day we brought her home. Good to hear that she will outgrow this, without having to pay $35 for an office visit!

My grandma use to tell me when I had the hiccups I was growing...do you think it's the same for our boxers?

My parent 2yr old boxer hiccups all the time too. She was the first I had ever seen do that.
