I was just wondering how many of you ladies are crazy about NFL football. I can't help it, I am addicted, I order upt the DirectTV NFL every year and sit on my butt every Sunday. I am a diehard Vikings fan, I get up on Sunday, put on my Vikings Jersey, my matching slippers, grab my Vikings throw and get all cozied up for my game. Oh, and for good luck I get my two little plastic helmets and set them on my TV. I am horrible, I yell and curse the TV, my daughter doesn't like the doors or window open because she doesn't want the neighbors to hear me, but they all know when the game is on in my house. My poor son won't sit with me he is afraid to get caught in my enthusiam, my remote is getting worn, because I am constantly checking scores on other channels. Am I nuts or what? Any other football junkies out there? Oh, and shame on me, last week the game was on the same time I go to church, the church was decorated in purple and gold for Advent (Vikings colors) everytime I looked up I kept thinking I was missing the first quarter of my game. My mom said I am going to go to you know where for that one LOL. Funny I did get punished because the Packers beat us that day.

Jo, I totally used to be until I moved out here :( All they ever play is Cardinals, I don't really like them, you're lucky to have direct tv, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see Bay Area teams play, Oakland & 49ers. I occassionaly watch when Miami plays.

I LOVE the game, but hate not seeing my teams. :(

My husband figures that since there are so many Californians in Arizona, that's why they don't show 49er games - more than 1/2 of the football fans would be Niner fans!

Oh well!

Joann-you and my husband would get along GREAT! He is from St. Paul MN. WE now live in Floirda. HE LOVES THE VIKINGS! That is all he ever talks about! It drives me nuts! Yes-he does the same thing-he puts on all his Viking gear on Sunday (believe me he wears a lot during the week-too) he now is dressing up our boxer. We got the Viking colar and leash and he occasionally puts his viking shirt on her too. Our house is a MAD HOUSE when they are on tv.

Go Vikes!

Joann,
I like to watch college ball (ROLL TIDE!), but don't watch as much pro ball as I used to. My sons have made me a Buffalo Bills fan. My husband is a huge Cowboys fan, but I have never really liked them. Growing up I liked the Dolphins (natural choice since I'm a native Floridian), and the Vikings (back when they had Fran Tarkington).

I live in the Pacific Northwest so of course I get to see every Seahawk game. I am actually a Bronco fan. I lived in Denver for 10 years and even if you didn't like the Broncos, you certainly kept it to yourself!

Sundays are interesting at my house. The mill where my husband works runs a weekly football pool where everyone who plays picks a winner in each game. The person who picks the most winners gets that week's pot (around $70). After three years of playing, I am actually AHEAD of my husband. Neither of us has won the pot yet but I have come closer more times than he has!

I am a deep down 'Raider Hater' but that just kind of goes hand in hand with being a Bronco fan and it's all in fun. I have to admit I really enjoy watching 'Broodin' Gruden' on the sidelines. Gotta love that wrinkle between his eyes. Makes him look a little bit like a boxer.

Completely Boxer Crazy
I have to say I watch football maybe twice a year, Thanksgiving day and the Superbowl because the family is together those two holidays and of course the men all watch the game. I occasionally catch a game on TV here and there.

I drive them nuts every year I ask a million questions and every year they explain it to me all over again.

I use to watch football in high school because our team had cute guys although even then I wasn't sure what was going on.

It is something I never really picked up but would like to if someone had the patients to tell me what was happening.
