I have a problem with flies in my backyard, where my dogs spend most of their time. I pick up the poop regularly so I can't seem to figure out why there are soooo many of them. It's gotten to the point to where I have to spray my dogs with some "flys-off" stuff so they don't get covered with them. I recently put up some sticky fly traps, but I was hoping someone on here may have a few of their own suggestions on how to get the problem under control. Any suggestions would be appreciated...

Possibly it is the urine that attracts them. You could try lime for your lawn (assuming your back yard is grassed) and also soaking it with water every so often.
