Boxer Buddy
we have 6 dogs, 4 mixes and a Boxer, and an Am Staff. Needless to save $$$ food bills. We have been feeding Premium Edge (Made by Diamond) chix, rice & vegs. Any suggestions, or has anyone tried this food? The dogs have BEAUTIFUL coats now, shinny and smooth. But, there stools are not as formed as they used to be; a little on the too soft side for 3 of the dosg, inc. boxer. Firm for the other 3. Here is ingredients list:

Completely Boxer Crazy
Both of these foods are good quality and priced very reasonably.

With 6 dogs it's probably best that you've found one food that they'll all seem to do well on. For the firm ness of the poop, I think you can use a bit of pumpkin for the 3 that have soft stool....

Super Boxer
I fed PE to Sam for about 8 months. He really liked it and we had no problems with it at all...and I REALLY liked the price! I recently switched him to another food because only one store here sells the PE, and the store smells SO bad that I didn't want to shop there anymore. I also tried him on the Chicken Soup but he had runny poop from that one.

Boxer Pal
I was feeding PE to Penny for the last 6 months. Stools weren't very firm, either (not bad, just not great). We moved and the local stores didn't have PE so I switched to Chicken Soup. Turns out, the local farm supply store sold Chicken Soup in the large bag for only $24. That's the best price on premium dog food I've ever found. So I switched Penny and Sadie to it and they have never been more healthy! Penny did fine on Premium Edge but her coat is SO very nice now! I couldn't believe the difference it made after only a half of a bag. And her stools are less frequent and much more firm. Sadie, my half Boxer and half Chow rescue, is also doing excellent on Chicken Soup. She used to shed tremendously and it's been reduced at least 50%.

Long story short, I liked Premium Edge but I *LOVE* Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul.

I know this is old but...

I feed Premium Edge Salmon and Potatoes. They really like it and the shedding and flaking is practically gone. It cost about $30 for a 35 lb bag. The regular Diamond is less. The feed store says it is the best food for the price.
