Dog park injuries?

I take Riley to the dog park about 5x a week and she likes to play pretty rough with the other dogs there (running, wrestling, etc). In the last week and half, she developed 2 slight limps...I'm assuming from getting too crazy at the park. The first limp went away in a few days and last night I noticed that she was favoring one of her back paws a little. It was better this afternoon when I got home from work so I took her for a walk and we took a trip to Petco. But, now she seems to be favoring it again (its not very noticeable but its there). I was feeling her back legs and I realized how delicate they felt. I'm thinking that her "injuries" are strains or tweaks from overexerting herself. She loves the park so much and it gives her such a great place to release energy (I live in an apt). Has anyone else had the same thing happen?
Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I'd take it easy on her for a few days and see what happens. Boxers have a "damn the torpedeos" attitude when it comes to playing, so you'll have to be the party pooper Err, voice of reason. ;)

Limp from nail trimming?

Just to update my previous post...my BF said that he noticed Riley favoring her same back paw after we did a nail trimming. On that paw I cut too low and one of the nails started bleeding. Anyone have a limping pup after a nailing trimming incident?

I wouldn't be surprised. That HURTS! Imagine trimming you toe nails and accidently cutting the tip of your toe off.

Try using a dremel type tool instead of nail clippers.

I found that its very easy to trim the nails in a safe way.
Plus it makes them much smoother so they won't catch on carpet/furniture.

Good Luck!
