Bijou loves to run in the snow but when the snow is crusty her paws get cut quickly. I have been thinking about getting her some booties but not sure if she would tolerate them or it they would stay on. Does your boxer wear them and if so, what kind do you have?

TIA,
Pamela

Good question. My husband wants me to get some for Dino, but I think it will be a waste of money. I can't imagine him leaving them on for more than a second.

Darby wears boots when it is really bad out in the winter. I have tried 2 different kinds of boots...

These ones work pretty good. They are the 2nd ones in the top row (Avery Neoprene Rubber Sole Boots)

I have also tried these boots. I did not have very good luck with them. They side off very easy!

It does take her a while to get use to them. I cant help but laugh  When she is doing the 'high step'.

Hope this helps a little. I think there is a picture in my gallery of her with the boots on (not sure if you can see them very well or not in the picture)

I'm curious to this response as well! ;) I've just been noticing this winter how cut up and chafed Chief's paws look after coming in from playing in the snow!?? What's the best way to protect our babies paws from the cold snow! Especially when they ignore the cold/pain and choose to continue playing outside!??

Violet wears booties b/c she has interdigital cysts that are not healing and I didnt want dirt getting in her open sores. She has shoes for outside, and sock type things for inside. She wouldnt keep them on for more than 5 seconds, so, I went to the trainer for help. Basically, she just put them on her and distracted her with off leash heeling, sits, downs, and heavily rewarded her. I continued that for about a week and now we call the shoes "good girl shoes". We cant get the shoes on fast enough... she loves wearing them and she is super good when she has them on.

Since I was just trying to protect ehr feet from dirt getting in her sores, I just bought the cheap ones that I can wash... they stay on, but b/c of her condition we havent been out for a good romp at the park.
