Boy, I thought Scrappy's pointing was weird until I found out lots of Boxers point. Scrappy will stalk a squirrel or a mourning dove, approaching the prey so slowly he can get a couple of feet away before they see him. He often lifts his front right leg with undocked tail out standing perfectly still for a minute or two at a time before stalking a little closer!

I think they look so beautiful when they hold that pose! Bella was pointing at a Dove that landed by our pond tonight, she was only about five feet away and she held, held, then JUMPED!!!!

Needless to say, the Dove was gone before Bella could pounce! (Thank goodness).

She points more than Simon!!!

Neither of my boxers ever pointed, but both of them thought they were cats when they would try to creep up on squirrels. The rest of the time they thought they were deer when they were bouncing through high grass.

Zoe does it sometimes but it is rare . What would be great is if we could catch it on a picture. Get your cameras out guys and we'll stalk them until we get the perfect point on camera.
